Obsession ages you backwards. You have more energy, more vitality, more youthful enthusiasm. When you do what you did as a kid, which is what obsession is, it neurologically rewires you for joy. It's a contagious love for life, that you can see in one glance.
If you choose to do something that is much harder than anything else you’re going to experience and it’s voluntary, for the most part, the rest of your life is going to be much easier.
How to clear your mind:
Walk more. Read more. Write more. Listen more. Lift more. Strategize more. Build more.
Scroll less. Indulge less. Criticize less. Ruminate less. Sit less. Procrastinate less.
Clarity is reserved for those who don't resist reality, but engage with it.
You won’t make it without obsession.
But nobody starts out obsessed. They start out curious. They experiment. They build things. They break things, They fail. And eventually they can’t pull themselves away.
Curiosity turns into obsession with time and persistence.
Sleep is number 1 importance for recovery. I’ve slept 3-4 hours each night this past week due to life schedule. Usually i’m at 7-8 & naps on weekends… Trained lightly twice in the week and feel like i’ve done a hyrox back to back everyday. Wild.
Most switch off on Thursdays.
Leave at mid day on Fridays.
Zero productivity on Saturday / Sundays.
Become ‘too busy’ on Mondays.
Try to get back to the programme until Wednesday.
Then switch back off again on Thursdays.
The bar is set so low.
