My guide for the next month -

Practice your sick voice for freeing up Cheltenham week at work.
“cough cough, I’ve come down with something..” remember people - Coronavirus doesn’t work anymore, BUT always have an answer ready for the next question - “well do you reckon you will feel well enough to come in later on?”… 🥴

Remember, you can’t have a dentist appointment four days in a row, as my teacher use to tell me. 😬

Best option - ring early, 6am, tell the cleaner to pass the message on.
‼️Don’t go on WhatsApp as they will see you online and expect more info, stick to bookmaker apps only. 😉

- If your going to Cheltenham, soak it in.
Cleeve Hill is a thing of beauty, the atmosphere is electric, don’t overthink betting and live in the moment.

Note - Money is material, you can’t take it with you, but memories will last forever! ❤️

- If watching at home, get in as many snacks and junk food as possible, don’t leave the sofa, prep ahead.
*Mini Fridge next to sofa advised.

- Watching in a bar? Make sure it’s a big screen. Don’t be tricked by a Weatherspoons for cheap pints or “we have 42 televisions…” BIGGER IS BETTER! 🍆

📺Watch as many re-runs of last year’s Festival as possible.
If your partner says “are you coming to bed yet?” reply - “in ten minutes”.
They will be asleep by time you get up, and you can focus on the Boodles. ✅

- Stop pretending you know what Willie Mullins bingo will be. (You don’t, non of us do!) ❌

- Do as many preview nights as possible, they are often a laugh, you might even find a LABAIK! 🤪🎣

- Rinse and repeat this every week at 3, 2 and “1 week to go” until you arrive at Festival week! 🚂
