SDR++ was created on this day 6 years ago because I thought I'd teach myself DSP while my highschool closed during covid. Never thought it would get this far... I wouldn't be doing a PhD right now if it wasn't for this software and everyone who's supported me!
Breaking Enigma With An FPGA, Just Like At Bletchly Park via @hackaday - very cool to see the video of them demonstrating it using my Virtual Enigma at https://t.co/zNNDVZokWF ! https://t.co/IYTh911Sa4
The core idea behind Flipper One is an expandable hardware platform via GPIO and M.2 modules. We’re actively working on a module mounting system to make it easy to make the modules, as well as 3D-print covers for them: https://t.co/SCRVqfnEj0
NEW VIDEO: Today we're looking into a rare manual cryptosystem that NSA's S14 (Tactical Applications Division) designed in 1969-1972 and codenamed it CIRCE.

🚨: Scientists captured quantum entangled photons in real time for the first time, sharing filtered images and noticing how modern discoveries echo ancient ideas about hidden reality.
General Relativity Keeps Revealing Unexpected Spacetime Geometries That Go Far Beyond Everyday Intuition.
In 1988, Kip Thorne and Michael Morris described a traversable Wormhole geometry that strangely connects two distant regions of Spacetime without an event horizon or central singularity.
No traversable Wormhole has ever been observed. Within General Relativity, though, these solutions are mathematically valid if Spacetime is supported by exotic stress-energy that violates classical energy conditions.
It's a solution Einstein’s field equations allow, but nature has not confirmed.

Glienicke Bridge in Potsdam. The bridge marked the border between West Berlin and East Germany and was used as a crossing point for spy exchanges between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War, earning it the nickname "Bridge of Spies".
White Holes Don’t Push You Way. Spacetime Refuses Your Future.
A White Hole appears in the maximally extended Schwarzschild solution of General Relativity, the full mathematical extension of the Spacetime around an eternal, non-rotating Black Hole.
The exterior geometry is the same Schwarzschild geometry
ds² = −(1 − 2M/r)dt² + (1 − 2M/r)⁻¹dr² + r²dΩ²
But the causal direction is reversed.
For a Black Hole, future-directed paths can cross the horizon inward. For a White Hole, future-directed paths can emerge from the horizon, but outside particles cannot enter that region.
The object has not been observed in nature. But inside the Mathematics of General Relativity, it is a real sector of the extended Schwarzschild Spacetime... the Black Hole’s time-reversed counterpart.
The Elusive Concept of Time
Pulsar Timing
Time can be measured by rhythm.
Here, three pulsars flash with steady timing on their own clocks, while a receiver watches from the side. In flat space, those pulses would arrive with predictable spacing.
Near a spinning black hole, they do not. The paths bend, the travel time changes, and the receiver sees sudden timing shifts when a pulsar passes behind the hole. Curved Spacetime turns regular flashes into a measurable delay.
Starting in World War II, the US Navy issued pilots Escape and Evasion (E&E) Barter Kits. This one, likely from the late 1950s or 1960s (?), was a sealed black rubber kit containing two gold rings, a gold chain and pendant, and, of course, a Milus Snow Star watch on a cloth strap
New tool Friday. inmarsat-sniffer — like iridium-sniffer but for Inmarsat Aero. ACARS + aircraft positions from satellites, one SDR, one binary.
