My therapist went virtual again this week. I get it that covid sucks, I just hate not having a dedicated therapeutic space. Therapy in my car just isn’t the same as therapy in her office. #covidcovidgoaway

Definitely grateful for what we have, but single payer healthcare isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either. I still can’t afford my meds so I’m not on any. I still can’t afford to go to the dentist so I don’t. I do miss my US health insurance but I don’t miss not having it

I wish it worked that way. You can’t really elect to get admitted like that, and then if you don’t have supplemental health benefits you’re either placed in a room with 4-8 other sick people, or get charged through the nose for semi-private or private room. At least in here in ON

Admittedly, if we get a semi private room for 3 days, the charge is like...$400-600. When I lived in the US and had health insurance, I paid triple that for an ambulance ride that was mandated after I had already been admitted, and then had to pay the “copay” of $1400 to stay IP
