At #ROMA2026, I was pleased to present the inaugural Rural Youth Leadership to Lexi Johnston in recognition of her leadership and advocacy efforts for #ONRural. In 2025, Lexi's hard work culminated in her crowning as the CNE Ambassador of the Fairs, bringing rural Ontario to the main stage!
I was pleased to attend the 166th annual Howick-Turnberry Fall Fair last evening, helping to judge the Ambassador of the Fair Competition and bringing greetings at the opening of the fair. Congratulations to 2025-26 Fair Ambassador, Emma Peel! And, it’s always great to run in to MP @BenLobbMP, MPP @LisaThompsonPC, and @LetsGoToTheEX Ambassador Lexi Johnson. #AgAndRuralMatters
The #Seaforth Fair celebrated its 179th fair by announcing there were over 2,000 entries in the fair this year and the market hog sale generated really good prices, while the 4-H shows continue to let young people shine during their achievement programs! Thanks to the local agricultural society for all they do in the community - all year long!
It was also great to see Lexie, the CNE Ambassador at the Seaforth Fair as well! #HuronEast
Congratulations to Lexi Johnston, Listowel’s new 2024-2025 Agricultural Fair Ambassador!
