This morning my 5 yr old boy was watching me put on mascara. He was clearly fascinated by what I was doing. He asked why I was doing it. I said because I like it and it makes me feel pretty. He then said, “I want to wear makeup too”.
Now, this is where some insane mothers these days would take his request as some kind of hint that he’s really a girl, but actually he just wanted to look nice too. So I helped him dress up in his nicest holiday suit and of course a tie so he could feel handsome. I complemented and hugged him, and we took pictures.
He wasn’t telling me was a girl— All he wanted was to feel special with his mom. That’s all they really want.
as a midwestern man that’s lived in wisconsin, minnesota, and illinois, i would just like to say these states do not claim this combination and can only imagine the only one that does is ohio
i will never understand the mindset of a person who literally marries someone who cheated on them. like, therapy is cheaper than a wedding and a divorce!
