@MalFPS_@FootballForUsD If he got the ball, then it would be offside
But the player who contested the ball against the keeper was in an onside position.
Learn ball
@champagnesftboi As for the second one, neither player are looking at each other and simply run into the same space. 10/10 times that’s not a foul. It’s a high speed game, guys aren’t always aware of who’s around them. Incidental collisions happen away from the ball all the time
@champagnesftboi Neither are penalties.
Under the old handball definition, it would’ve been a PK. But under the “natural position” definition, it isn’t. Berhalter’s arms aren’t in an unnatural position (Aussie player’s arms are doing the same thing, it happens when you jump).
@CG5NATCH@Socceroos The two offside players both did not touch the ball nor did they affect the defensive positioning.
The goal scorer came from an onside position. If one of the two offside players touched the ball, it would’ve been offside
@MapleMomEh@CG5NATCH@Socceroos Hi, also was an official.
It’s not offside. The two players in offside position had zero impact on the play, while the goal scorer came from an onside position
@Verysimpleidea@AdamZHerman It depends. During daytime talk shows and radio shows, they’re absolutely fishing for clicks because that’s when no one is watching and they need anything they can get.
Pre, during, and post game shows do a lot more actual technical breakdowns and analysis
@koop_designs05@zilischive Heim is probably going to struggle his first couple years in cup, and it’s kinda crazy you expect him to instantly figure it out. Cindric had multiple seasons in Xfinity and it still took him a bit to figure it out. Same with Logano, Hocevar, and pretty much everyone else
