One thing getting me through the harder moments of this pandemic?
Imagining the viscerally emotional reactions when “Wicked” finally comes back to Broadway and Glinda enters in her bubble and says, “It’s good to see me, isn’t it.”
If there was ever a time schs needed federal support, it is now.
Students deserve an unprecedented federal investment in resources not cuts or diversion of funds.
Schools deserve a federal champion to lift our leaders, support our teachers & believe in the safety of our kids.
Social distancing, deep cleaning, multiple learning platforms, food distribution sites, tele-health, PPE, COVID symptom screening/tx, loss learning instruction, etc. are all expensive.
Now is certainly not the time to threaten to withhold fed $.
Adding stressors.Not helpful.
Watching Hamilton on Disney+. Ellie says, “ Mom, I miss the theatre.” 😭😭 Me too, sweet girl, me too. So much. Thanks, @Lin_Manuel for giving us the opportunity to still experience “live” theatre when our souls need it most.
UPDATE : Miraculously (yes, miraculously) Wilson has been granted 20 more visits! That will get us to Thanksgiving. It’s not a permanent fix, but I am thrilled that he will be back in therapy next week!!
Today Wilson and I had dinner together. We were supposed to be at his weekly physical and occupational therapy appt.. We weren’t because @UHC has decided that my 7 year old son who uses a wheelchair and can’t yet do basic self care tasks no longer needs therapy.
They have now denied virtually all therapy visits, having told our amazing PT that “he shouldn’t expect to do the things a normal 7 year old can.” This is despicable to me. Do your job, @UHC, and help my son be healthy, active, and independent.
"Teach Less, Learn More." Singaporean PLCs exist to answer the questions "What?" and "How". For example, considering the breadth vs. depth of knowledge, what should we be teaching? Also, how can we make the learning student-centered rather than a one-way conversation?
