Hello everyone! On Monday I secured my first Grandmaster norm with 5 straight victories at the Memorial Day Invitational in NY! New FIDE is 2462 and USCF is 2558.
Hey everyone! Yesterday I became an International Master at the 1924 Centennial tournament. I picked up my 5th norm with a 2478 performance and increased my live rating to 2420 fide! Thank you to @MarshallChessNY for organizing a great event.
I missed the norm by 1 point, after a disappointing draw in the 8th round, and a draw in round 9. I had a winning position in round 8, but got too careless. Overall my score was 6/9, gaining 17 FIDE points which raises my rating to 2299 FIDE. Next tournament is Southwest Class!
I currently have 5/7 in the IM section of the Robert Byrne Memorial Invitational organized by Elite Chess. The required score for a norm is 7/9, so I need to score 2/2 tomorrow to clinch my final IM norm!
Wanted to thank everyone for all the support yesterday during the Puzzle World Championship! I made it to round 5, winning $800 and missing the K.O. by just one puzzle. On a more positive note I got over 3000 bullet today.
Usually I am not bragging about my student's success in weekend tournaments, but this is a very special case. My student @liam_putnam scored amazing 10/10 in Marshall Club tournament beating GM Michael Rohde!

I have just earned my 2nd IM norm (back to back) in St Louis Missouri at the Spice Cup! Playing 6 IMs out of 9 games I finished with 5.5/9 (+2) and a performance rating of 2454! Thanks to @websteru for hosting a great tournament. On to Chicago next month for another norm event.
