Oil and gas companies have made huge profits, while people have faced high fuel costs and the effects of climate change.
We knew this had to change. The system is broken.
That's why we're eliminating the largest fossil fuel subsidy in BC.
A reminder also that Black people are much more likely to be charged with cannabis-related offences than white people. Now that it's legal, most 'influential' lists are filled with white men in cannabis.

Today, September 13, marks the 13th UN anniversary of the adoption of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The Métis Nation Calls on the Government of Canada to Adopt Legislation Implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
A half million people in Oregon evacuate as wildfires rage. Over 3 million acres in California burned. The western sky is red. An 800-mile derecho destroyed towns in Iowa. The Arctic topped 100 degrees.
The Green New Deal has been called "expensive."
Compared to what?
Since 2015, in Canada:
- incarceration of BIPOC has increased
- emissions have increased
- tuition has increased
- the wealth gap has increased
- police brutality has increased
- household debt has increased
We aren’t winning, and pretending we are isn’t helping. Be better.
Stop saying “we can’t afford” Homes for All, Green New Deal or Medicare for All.
If we didn't spend trillions on endless wars and tax breaks for millionaires, we could afford to house our homeless, care for our seniors, and save our planet.
We suffer from greed, not scarcity.

Wouldn't it be nice "IF" this was true for all #FirstNations communities?
@JustinTrudeau could "CHOOSE" to make this happen in post #Covid19 Economic Stimulus
3 attendees of a peaceful action were arrested this morning while calling to defund the police. They were not told of their crime.
What did we do? We posted banners. We painted statues. We called to defund the system that targets us.

Liars. The police didn't assist anything. We had our own safety team that had to deescalate you. And you still arrested *three people who were just sitting in a van after you tried-- and failed -- to kettle everyone #DefundThePolice#FreeThemNow
