Are there any rules at your Software Company that slow down delivery? I'm thinking of things like No deploy Fridays, Changes must be manually tested, Changes must go via a change Advisory board, that sort of thing?
Interested to see what whacky org constraints devs live with
@yomexzo At my current client i have four month old branches that are un merged because there aren't enough QA opeople to test what the developers are building.
one of these branches is literally a one line CSS fix.
@Malcolm_Ocean You're through the worst part for a dad i think, when the baby just stares at you and doesn't give you much feedback. But they will begin to smile, and then laugh, and then talk, and it gets so much better. Hang in there.
Just got the bad news that my client is cutting budgets and all contracts are not being renewed, so I'll be available to start work in the New Year
I'm a Senior Contract .NET C#/F# Engineer with 15 years experience, comfortable working across AWS and Azure. RT's appreciated!
@GergelyOrosz I once had a conversation with a female Delivery Manager, and she was talking about adding engineers to hit a rapidly approaching deadline. So i said 9 women can't make a baby in the month" and she said, "well that depends on the woman."

@ShowerAbsolute I used to work with a British Guy who had infowars on all day long, who stormed into the office on Nov 10th 2016, and screamed. "YES! YES! YES! NOW LET'S HANG THAT FUCKING BITCH."
I wonder what he treated his colleagues to on wednesday morning.
