If we have uneducated/ignorant people (native ppl if you will), with negative views on say gay rights or some other liberal thing, why would we tolerate migration from culturally challenging places where this view is highly dominant in many cases regardless of education? Why would we make the problem worse?
You can have liberal LGBTQ rights and a highly selective migration policy, in fact it makes more sense that way round, otherwise you end up with fundamentally illiberal people forming a cohesive political mass and eventually overturning liberal values to suit their cultural preferences.
@echochamberbad@SociopathOnMars@tomhfh@5Pillarsuk We've had decades of being very liberal on migration - There are many examples of towns and cities where the flow of people has had an extremely negative impact. Time for something different.
@SociopathOnMars@tomhfh@5Pillarsuk Problem is you could quite easily game this, better to have a blanket migration ban from places known to be homophobic and bigoted
Keeping Up with the Sturgeons continues
After escaping Gordon Brown’s Cave of Despair, Nicola and Peter cross the Scottish border and flee to the familiar comfort of London’s Savoy Hotel.
But they weren’t counting on The Proclaimers.
{satire}
Politicians created two tier policing, yet many, such as Keir Starmer, still deny it.
Reminded of the 1984 quote “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Jesus, even I didn't realise the police had got this bad. Ultimately though I blame all prestige media and institutions screaming about George Floyd in 2020.
