Today we're announcing our $3.1M pre-seed round to bring our AI Customer Support Engineer to more software companies like @Kpler, @ClickHouseDB & more!
There are currently only two speeds for escalation management - "all hands on decks" and "please hold." Waypoint AI is built from the ground up to navigate the complex maze that is triaging, deflecting, routing, investigating, resolving & learning from customer-reported bugs.
Big news from Waypoint AI (@liamboogar @tompolivka @sboogar) — they’ve raised $3.1M to stop customer escalations before they start.
Proud to back this SkyDeck alum w/ @42cap @DreamcraftVC + Lumiere AI Ventures.

We've raised $3.1M led by @42Cap1 & Dreamcraft with participation by Lumière AI Ventures & @SkyDeck_Cal to resolve escalations before they become emergencies.
We're already working with world-class software companies like @ClickHouseDB & @Kpler.

Based on my conversations in the past 6 months with Series A investors in Silicon Valley, the bar to clear for early stage AI Applications is essentially: "will real companies use you for real use cases in production."
This should tell you everything you need to know about the AI agent/vibe coding hype.
PS: we're not currently raising, but our customers keep introducing us to their investors so we get coffee dates.
Really enjoy watching the FrenchTech ecosystem suddenly adopting @fidjissimo as a shining example of success.
I don't recall the full-length deep-dives on her when she was running mobile at Facebook for 10 years or leading Instacart when it was valued at $40B.
I don't recall any reaction when it was announced 2 weeks ago she'd be speaking at Vivatech either.
So the show with @JonathanRoss321 absolutely crushed last week but left me with many more questions.
Today is one of our most nerdy but fantastic episodes.
- Why Google wins the AI arms race
- Why OpenAI is not best positioned
- NVIDIA vs. AMD
- Inference vs training
- The Holy Trio of AI: Why you must have product, data and compute
My 5 key takeaways with @steeve 👇
Imho the "Ukraine peace talks" are misunderstood.
They are not about Ukraine. Nor peace.
Their goal is to show that Russia and Europe are now on equal level for the US.
No more preferred treatments. No more preferred alliance. From now on they will act as its their leaderships own best interest.
And Anti-EU parties are preferred partners even in Europe.
Either Europe properly unites gets its own proper army and makes its own united foreign policy, or we will be small countries played against each other, none big enough to matter in a time of giants and transactional diplomacy.
LLM-generated PRs to solve bugs will waste more time than they save in 98% of cases for the next 2-5 years.
If the goal is to save engineering team, why not:
1. Ensure the ticket has all the information before engineering gets it by asking follow-up questions to support/the customer for customer-reported bugs.
2. Identifying historically relevant code changes, tickets, documentation, logs, alerts & Slack conversations that may hide the root cause.
3. Proposing Theories for the root cause that may include specific impacted components.
If you can accurately do the above, you'll be in a great position to feed that to an LLM to generate a PR when the models get good enough.
That's @waypointai's approach.
Don't feed the EU Doome trolls disguising their pessimism with "but what about {other country}?" - you don't hear Florida complaining when Stargate is announced in Texas.
They either don't understand the EU or don't want to see the EU succeed.
This week, France is California.
Everyone says Europe can't compete with America in tech.
But 48 hours ago, Mistral's 'Le Chat' just proved them wrong:
• 13x faster than ChatGPT
• 100% open-source
• Completely free (vs $20/month)
The European AI breakthrough Silicon Valley didn't see coming 🧵:
Donald Trump was elected by Americans to defend the interests of Americans.
The question we, as Europeans, must ask ourselves is, are we ready to defend the interests of Europeans?
