The MTA is proposing a new 125 Street Subway, which would extend west from the future 125 St/Lexington Av Q station. The project would connect existing subway lines—including the Second Avenue Subway—and bus routes along the corridor.
Learn more about this project at a public scoping meeting; we're hosting two virtual sessions on October 22, and one in-person session on October 27. Register for a session and get all the details: https://t.co/bjRcaEpZ0D
Today, I asked the Supreme Court to affirm that federal courts have the power to hear my case.
The government knows all too well that its baseless allegations and smears against me cannot survive the slightest scrutiny in federal court. That’s why it is doing everything it can to keep those courts from looking at my case and to channel it into its kangaroo immigration courts.
So the question is simple: can the government weaponize immigration laws to punish someone's speech, then tell federal courts they have no power to step in?
If the answer is yes, none of our speech is safe. If the Trump administration can punish someone for pro-Palestine speech, this or any future administration can punish anyone for any speech.

On the Israeli settler attack on Palestinians and a WaPo journalist during an olive harvest:
https://t.co/pxO2Vb9pqh
One thing our reporters noted that hasn't gotten much attention: the IDF shot a man running *away*, then claimed he was running at them with a "sharp object."
#Breaking: European diplomats, including French and Polish representatives, who went to the West Bank to observe the olive harvest, have been violently assaulted by Israeli settlers.
To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
🚨 NOW: Settler terror attack on Abu Falah in the West Bank.
American journalist Heidi Levine was beaten by the settlers, many Palestinian were injured, one shot by the IDF.
The army allowed the settler attack, and tear gassed and assaulted the Palestinians.
“We are indeed living in a time of artificial intelligence,” said @amitsinghbagga, “for that’s what’s required to think that Mayor Mamdani has somehow abandoned the Palestinian cause.”

Breaking News: Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration is making a $30 million investment to build a quantum research lab at New York University. In exchange, the city will receive 15% of any proceeds from intellectual property developed in that lab. https://t.co/lT5M8g1gTQ
🚨Mamdani welcomes Levine’s decision:
“I welcome the comptroller’s decision. It is something that I've said in the past that I don't believe that our city should purchase Israel bonds. We don't purchase the bonds of any other sovereign nation. I don't think that we should make an exception when it comes to Israel.
“This is the decision that the comptroller is making, and it's one that I support.”
NEW: In his 10th month in office, @MarkLevineNYC has decided not to reinvest in Israeli bonds, breaking a campaign promise on a particularly fraught issue. He said he still supports Israel, but that the bonds aren’t strong enough investments:
