Also, if you wanted a cheap games machine, buy a second-hand PC. Hell, get an ex-business workstation and stick a prev-gen GPU in it. Buy older games on GoG, or emulate. You don't need to spend $1300USD on a PC. You especially do not need to buy a fucking PS5.
The comparison is too close for comfort.
Right now you get get a premium build from @METAPCs that's comparable for $1299 today, and even less with code GRUMMZ on checkout.
The 5060 is just gonna be a better gaming experience.
If you took the Meta build and built it yourself, you would be well under.
Yes, this is a post to share my affiliate code, but I'm quite serious: The value proposition of the Steam Machine satisfied no-one.
If I wanted a cheap game machine right now with an integrated TV experience, I'd get a PS5 or PS5 Pro for $700-$900 and a copy of Stellar Blade and Expedition 33.

@Victummz This, the bunny outfit and the renders for the different suit modifications. All models, seemingly rigged, but he puts the pilots in their underpants. I'll never understand, no thought process whatsoever.
My rent goes up $110 a week next month, almost a 25% increase in one go! Economy looks fucking fantastic Albanese you cumrod-suckling runt #auspol
(david firth's the news hasn't happened yet pt.3)
@ItsYeshalot@UltronforFort@Victummz Someone actually did find it. It's been at West Coast Customs this entire time. There's a bunch of posts and photos on TheMeldingWars Discord.
They'll be hounding Gabe and his team to their graves though. Every attempt to put the screws into Steam isn't done in the interest of consumers, promises of cheaper prices and "fairer" markets are just persuasion.
GoG? Superior for older titles.
EGS? Mostly useless.
BattleNet? Only for Blizz titles, and even then.
Origin? Malware.
UPlay? Malware.
Windows Store? Fuck off, but better than EA and Ubi.
Humble? *shrug*
Itchio? If you're into that sort of thing.
Steam is the all-round better.
Valve co-founder Gabe Newell responded to accusations that Steam operates as a monopoly in the PC gaming market
Addressing the criticism, Newell said gamers have “plenty of options” when buying games.
According to him, players can choose from many digital stores, including rival platforms and stores run by game publishers themselves.
Valve says Steam’s success comes from a service that both gamers and developers willingly choose.
I still don't *like* Steam. If you lose your account or get banned, that's it. But you take on that risk for the convenience. GoG is technically superior from the consumer standpoint due to offline installers and getting your own keys, but it depends on the game's developer.
