Why does a Welsh police force have an Islamic blasphemy unit? This two-tier policing of thought and speech has got to stop, says Khadija Khan

If this is what Oranga Tamariki thinks drives meth use by Maori, then no wonder they are so bad at their job. Quick fact: meth use is not to 'cope with trauma, pain, exhaustion, or stress'. And 3x Maori women use it because of higher Maori involvement in gangs, who distribute it.
Drug users take methamphetamine, which is a long-lasting stimulant, because of the perceived desirable effects: increased energy and alertness, which also results in (perceived) better sexual performance. It also allows you to party harder, for much, much longer.
Prior to meths arrival, Ritalin was the sought-after stimulant drug for users. Once meth was in wide circulation, the number of Ritalin prosecutions that I saw as defence counsel plummeted to basically zero. Meth completely replaced it. And it is so much worse.
Meth has been made and distributed by a mixture of private individuals and gangs in the past. These days, most of the distribution is in the hands of the gangs. The gangs prey on the poor and on isolated young men for their membership, especially in areas that are already part of the gang culture. The newer, multi-national gangs are widening the ethnicity grouping in the offending stats beyond the present over-representation of Maori, but that will take time to show up. In the meantime, Maori are still naturally and unfortunately overrepresented in the stats because of their over-representation in the gangs.
None of this is due to colonisation. Much of it is due to the fact that, on meth, you can literally party for days.
The fact that OT is presenting this unmitigated hogwash as the reasons for meth use in NZ today, under a @nzfirst minister, in coalition government made of that party plus @NZNationalParty and @actparty says two things. Firstly, it says that OT is still stuck in a left-wing, critical race theory bubble that has not been addressed, and which means that the department is still not fit for purpose. It also says that, in almost three years, this government has achieved nothing in relation to changing the culture of the public service away from this sort of insanity.
The fact is that these theories are just plain wrong. All of the academic research says they are wrong. We know why people use drugs, and colonialism ain’t it! But if OT is using that as their basis for interventions in drug-using families, everything they do will fail, because their foundational principles are wrong. Do none of our elected politicians understand that?
Having this unacademic, ahistorical, evidence-blind sort of insanity embedded within the leadership of OT is a nightmare already happening. This government needs to win the next election simply to do the job that they have spent the last 2 ½ years not doing.
Good on Lindsay Mitchell for pursuing this issue.

You know what’s cheaper? Make public information… Public.
Every time taxpayers uncover waste, expose bad decisions, or force bureaucrats to answer tough questions, it's usually because someone filed a request under the Official Information Act (OIA).
Now we're told OIAs are too expensive, but this is the cost of government secrecy.
Other countries such as the UK, United States, Ukraine and Brazil already publish spending and procurement data online.
Why don't we?
@spencerpratt Here's Jimmy Kimmel wearing blackface, fat shaming while stomping on an immigrant housekeeper.
Because Jimmy is a full time shill for the Democrat establishment, his past is ignored and he gets to spend his days calling other people racists and bigots.
Bank of England axes Winston Churchill, Alan Turing and Jane Austen from future banknotes after being told they are not “representative of the UK’s cultural and natural diversity”
The decision was made as part of the redesign of new polymer notes.
Officials were advised that the three historic figures do not reflect modern Britain’s diversity.
Churchill featured on the £5 note, Turing on the £50 note, and Austen on the £10 note.
The move has triggered fury from historians and politicians who called it an attempt to rewrite British history.
The Bank of England has confirmed the three will not feature on any forthcoming notes.
Thoughts?
Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it.
Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse.
It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.
The police dance with fetish gimps at Pride, fabricate evidence against Iraeli football fans and constantly take the knee to Islamist bigotry. Who the hell do they think they work for?, asks Julie Burchill

@jameskjx@MHReddell There is no loss to a Minister if information is incorrect - they don't take a pay cut, and aren't going to be voted out because a bureaucrat stuffed up.
Also, on cost vs. value, I'm not confusing them, I'm saying that if the value is lower than $100, don't repond at all.
@SikhFedUK@KemiBadenoch Just out of curiosity, where was your outrage when other western countries banned the kirpan knife? Sikhs live there but are happy to abide by the law of the land. Religious exemption for blades shouldn’t be allowed
