the future is ours to fight for and build — when we do that, it gets better
and we owe that to ourselves and all who follow — don’t let anyone tell you different
#WhitepillWednesday
This culture war is being used to pitch us against each other and I too have been guilty of being sucked.
I think the most important people now are the ones who reject being pawns of politicians and bring people together.
Reject left v right, embrace us v them.

Stop pretending there’s a systemic issue here. Deposits in the US are perfectly safe up to $250,000 per account. The limit exists because without it, superrich depositors will chase the highest possible returns, knowing taxpayers will bail them out if a badly managed bank fails…
@Jason I loved your podcast, but was deluded about you. You clearly think us non billionaires where I live are living in 1980. We actually use our phones too. We bank on Saturdays and after hours too, being that it’s 2023 here just like where you are 🤔
@SilvermanJacob Yep, I live on “MAIN STREET” and most of our branches have been closed for years. We have phones. It’s funny how they think since we’re not billionaires, we live in 1980, never tried online banking, and still get our news from Tom Brokaw at night
@Jason And most bank branches closed many years ago along with everything else on our “MAIN STREET”s and of those left, most are open on Saturday from 9-12. Like you I’m following the SVB story, since again, we all have phones here and aren’t waiting for Tom Brokaw to tell us the news

There’s a lot of misinformation and emotion out there about $SVB. I don’t know how many of y’all need to hear this but this is the reality of how the FDIC usually gets things done in this situation. A lot less doom and gloom than social media and media is pushing.
@saifedean I don’t think my econ professor did, but my dad was a farmer when I was growing up and he told me this then. Also, my mom was a Catholic and took us to church every Sunday, and when we got home he sort of dismantled everything I’d heard there with his brand of logic 😂 confusing
