@ellle_em Our cat almost fell off his cat tree this week in his excitement over seeing a couple of mourning doves and a robin after a long winter. He made an excited squeal and then almost walked backward off the top level of the cat tree.

I think in reality issues between councillors and non-CAO staff generally just go unaddressed, which is unfortunate for staff members, but it does make sense that the actual mechanisms for dealing with them fall outside the role of the IC.

I don’t think it is that uncommon but normal workplace protections don’t seem to apply here. If councillors create a hostile work environment what recourse do employees have?

@UpNorthCBC The federal government has announced plans to cut funding for @CELAlibrary which I believe will have a disproportionate impact on those living in Northern/rural communities. Would love to hear a story about how Northern Ontarians with print disabilities feel about it

@jackisnotabird This is how I felt one long winter in grad school. I spent most of my on campus time in a windowless computer lab, and walked to and from campus mostly in the dark. It was depressing and bad for my mental health. Students need better spaces in their schools to learn and grow.
