The Body in the Library

School librarian (and Pokemum). I like books. Also tea.

All views are my own.

@OrchardSB @ReadForGood @TiLAcademies Thank you @ReadforGoodUK 📚🥳📚

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

It's an amazing day when you receive a HUGE parcel of donated fiction & graphic novels for the library! Thank you SO MUCH to @ReadforGoodUK for choosing us to receive a 'Brilliant Box of Books'. I can't wait to get these into students' hands! #OrchardLovesReading #InspireEmpower

[Orchard School Bristol @OrchardSB]

We didn't have a librarian for #WorldBookDay2025! She seemed to have been replaced by Koro-Sensei from Assassination Classroom 🤔

[Orchard School Bristol @OrchardSB]

Can you work out who each Secret Reader is? They were caught reading! Prizes for the tutor groups with the most correct guesses to be given out tomorrow! Here is a small sample of the 20+ puzzles which our students have been solving this week for #worldbookday2025

[Orchard School Bristol @OrchardSB]

We have celebrated #worldbookday2025 in style this week, with a carousel of activities in the library at lunchtime, a 'Secret Teacher' being caught reading every day in tutor time, competitions with ace prizes, and a 3 minute story at the start of every lesson! #InspireEmpower

@garbotoxin Let the intrusive thoughts win. Buy the army of monkeys!

[Peters @Petersbooks]

Revealing Peters Teen Fiction of the Year... Northern Soul by Phil Earle! 😎

Jump into this sweet and tender tale of first crushes and relationships, sprinkled with Earle's fabulous humour.

Congratulations @philearle! 🌟

Congratulations @alastair_ch! This was the best 'middle grade'-level book I read last year and I am so happy to see it get well-deserved recognition!

@hourlyquagsire Aww I wish I'd seen you to say hi! The blue potato is my number 1 and I've been repping him too at EUIC 💙

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

Such a good day at #EUIC. The Boy met his hero @littledarkfury & I got to meet @yukayuka briefly (thank you for letting me say hello when we passed on the concourse! Sorry for my bad Japanese!) I loved Yuka Morii's artist talk. Thank you @playpokemon for bringing this together 💚

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@littledarkfury We're around there but there are so many people 😆 We'll keep our eyes peeled though 👍

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@littledarkfury are you at EUIC venue today? You are my son's hero and he is so hopeful to try and meet you 🙏

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@yukayuka You were wonderful at the artist interview at #EUIC today! ありがとう ございます 💚

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@yukayuka I didn't get lucky in the wristband lottery to meet you tomorrow, but I'm still glad you're here! Thank you for joining us 💚

@VirtuallyMarti So maybe next time try making a cuppa? 🤣

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@VirtuallyMarti Opposite problem here, the TV turned itself on and my boy thought we had a hotel ghost... Turned out to be far more prosaic, if odd - I boiled the kettle and the steam condensed onto the touchscreen-type power button!!

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@VirtuallyMarti I agree, it looks great! Might be enough to make me retire my eeveelutions one (which is admittedly quite grubby by now...)

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@JoeMerrick @PokemonNewsUK Very excited about Quagsire merch!!! My boy 🥰

[The Body in the Library @library_body]

@JeleeTCG Excited for you!! Hoping we will see you at Playlab 😁
