Dear All, Gareth here. Emma has developed a bad infection which took hold quickly overnight.she’s been rushed into hospital. High temp, high heart, confused and ready to give up. She’s saying silly things about it being her time, so we need you
I’ll read every one to her🙏
"I really didn't realize the librarians were, you know, such a dangerous group. They are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like, plotting a revolution man. I wouldn't mess with them."
-Michael Moore

@StirlingLibs Digital Inclusion Officer Angela Short speaking at the Evidence-Based Library and Information Practice conference in Glasgow yesterday about #WorkIT#EBLIP10
Well done to #WorkIT@stirlinglibs! This project has helped over 200 people looking for work to gain skills and confidence and is now shortlisted for the Digital category at Edge Conference @edinedge. Appointments available at your local library!
Great opportunity to join @StirlingLibs as Digital Services Librarian, now up on My job Scotland website: https://t.co/70B74jjtiZ Closing date 16th January. #GoDigital
Something I just love about public libraries is how they bring together such a wide cross section of people. You look around & see grandparents sitting on the floor w/their grandchildren, scholars digging into the archives, college kids who have a paper due in 2 hrs. I love it.
Liz Moffat @OuchLibrarian talking about the amazing #ReadingFriends project at Stirling Council's Big Huddle today. Reading together reduces loneliness, improves mood and builds friendships. Great work with @BannockburnHigh, who's next?
Great interventions from @MartynWallace and @CSBCook at #digitalscotland18. Colin Cook says relaunch of National Performance Framework last week aims at Opportunities for all to flourish. Inclusion is at the heart of this.
Keynote speech from Darren McGarvey @Loki to conclude an amazing #CILIPS18. He spoke about libraries as "a place someone can change their life, a refuge" but they need to be resourced. #librariesmatter
Will never forget seeing Susan as Wonder Woman - inspiring stuff! She was our winner and thank you for supporting a wonderful library. ❤ https://t.co/wAcFQz0fFz
After the tour I’m giving a top hat (from the quickstep) and a paso cape to @womenslibrary. Glasgow Women’s Library celebrates all of our Scottish Wonder Women and it seems apt to share my joyous time with them.
