i agree with the apostle paul that we live in an evil age under the rule of shockingly vicious people but it’s where he’s like, “oh so don’t seek to change the system, just stay put & wait for some heavenly figure to swoop in any second now” where i think he shits the bed
people often post this stuff to imply that moral panics about the technologies of the past were quaint. But the past is full of reminders that we are on a long, slow march away from embodied experience, and that we’ve lost more of it than we can even remember
