@feederofcats Giving the janky ones their dignity when that's the only thing left to give is heartbreaking but absolutely the right thing to do. Bless you and all who do this for humans and animals alike.
@fesshole Clean but no longer wearable clothing they can sell for recycling and get a bit of money that way. Broken toys however is just rude, making out that they should be grateful for scraps.
@LeeBraganza It feels like karma, but also highlights for me what I've been saying about how hard it is for so many ECTs to get teaching jobs. I'm working as an ATA/HLTA having done no ECF. My niece has done ECT1 and is doing supply. Both primary, different locations. Feels really shitty.
@WhistleblowingT Also consider their Christian background. Even in the CofE, there are traditions that don't allow women to do much more than serve food.
@WhistleblowingT Just because someone is a practicing Christian doesn't mean they're automatically going to be comfortable leading prayers or worship. This could be so far out of their comfort zone they're panicking. Has anyone offered the ECT some support in where to find prayers & what to do?
@ICT_MrP The one afternoon a week where we didn't do work, we had the crafts and mechano and that sort of thing out and just used our imaginations. Bonus if it was a wet day, we got them all out at lunchtime and got an extra half hour of play with the fun stuff!
@ask_aubry Girl is asking the right questions there, BIL also asking her the right questions.
I mean, if it weren't horribly messy and also somewhat illegal, I'd be all for getting a shot gun and blowing his balls off.
