@JackoftheVale@liamcunningham1 Yes. There are all sorts of nationalism. Scottish National Party, pretty hopeless but not rightwing, racist and nazi
British National Party, racist and nazi.
@vxunderground Not my problem but a lot of business people have to use a VPN to work out of the office.
While abused I'm sure most VPN use is work related or for genuine security issues like viditing your bank account over public wifi
@UllPetrus@TomasCorax@martinshawx Perhaps we'll see another Justice Johnson preside over a retrail where the Jury just consider a criminal damage charge and then the Judge locks these young people as terrorists?
Who could honestly call that justice?
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx To describe terrorism as an aggravating factor trivialises terrorism and all its victims.
You like the sentence and you dont care about the means.
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx It didn't
The judge obviously tries to justfy his sentence in his sentencing remarks, you find that justification satisfactory i don't and I don't think most people would.
Let's be honest you wanted long sentences and you are defending long sentences
I like Juries and justice
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx That's not really the question is it.
I think though they should have been tried and if found guilt sentenced in charges that were brought. Surely tgat should be a basic principle?
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx There is a tradition in this country of people taking peaceful action to prevent war crimes.
Of some potentially illegal action bring involved, of charges being brought and juries deciding no crime was committed
This unjust verdict threatens all that.
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx Yes. That has nothing to do with the issue. A terrorism case wasn't put to a jury, no terrorism verdict was given by a jury, yet a judge gave defendents sentences based on his decision that their actions were to do with terrorism.
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx Not true. There was an issie about reporting prejudicing tbe case.
The defendents and their supporters wanted the Jury told and some supporters were ecen arrested for trying to inform tbe Jury.
Tbe speech by a juror at the previously trial is also worth listening
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx If terrorism charges were brought the Jury would have been shown evidence
With no terrorism charges such comment by the press and ministers was prejudicial.
The fact though that the judge could give terrorism related sentences should have been told the Jury at some stage.
@TomasCorax@UllPetrus@martinshawx Terrorism is a something we've seen a lot of in Britain, essentially using terror for political ends, often people die and people are terrified and terrorised.
Criminal damage isn't terror whatever MPs vote
The law is wrong and this law needs repealing
@UllPetrus@martinshawx The prosecution makes the case to the Jury that a crime has been committed and the defense puts the defendants case and the Jury decides.
The prosecution could have put a terrorism case to the Jury but didn't.
Yet they got terrorist sentences.
That is obviously unjust.
