But you give way to one exception in the everything-goes, and that's precedent for anything to get banned.

Ffs, ao3 was created for wincest, LITERALLY INCEST (albeit fictional characters). The best thing you can do if you don't like-

@aratakipilled @coffeewing China has strict laws on adult content, both M/F and queer (ofc it's worse if it's queer). If you distribute NSFW content you could go to jail. Danmei authors (basically Chinese bl) have been thrown into jail for this, because of reporting they found the site and blocked it

Not only did they advertise the site (I saw a Chinese tl of a hollanov ff), they advertised the actors of the show the ff was about, and the book behind it. You could safely say I started danmei cause of this

@Sarah_EHD @petekeyyuri Yeah, that's one thing I love of the philosophy on ao3, most writers do it solely for the love of the game. I used to love writing but hs ruined my creativity and now I get 0 ideas, it would be more anxiety-inducing than anything. Who knows, maybe someday it'll change

I'm pretty sure I made a girl realise she was demi cause she put a lot of herself into one of her MC and I saw myself in him, and we got to discussing. I wish I could write but that faucet ran dry a long time ago, at least I can do this

@ikoteczk @petekeyyuri Idk, maybe I was always more attuned to ao3 than wattpad and commented "the right way". Never heard any writer complain about receiving comments, as long as they weren't rude or harassment.

The limit is not that restrictive, I just wrote veery long comments hehe. I too took a night to read the chapter and another night to comment on it properly lol

@petekeyyuri Oh OK, that's true. There's an ao3 author I really like and since I copy the lines I want to address later, I always end up reaching the character limit in the comment. That's the only positive thing wattpad users can bring on here, I've always seen writers begging for comments

Then they harass you in the comments or on your socials. Ao3 gives you the warning for 18+ content, but it doesn't hurt to mention it again if-

@darumiamemiya My Beautiful Man! They both got issues and there is character development, but they give each other exactly what they want even if people would look at them weirdly because of that. It's a deeply misunderstood show precisely because both aren't normal and wouldn't work otherwise
