My story: Why Sikhs must oppose atrocities against Muslims and protect them.
आखिर क्यों सिखों को मुसलिमों के खिलाफ हो रही ज्यादितियों के खिलाफ आवाज उठानी चाहिए! क्योंकि यह उनका कर्तव्य है.

Friendly advice for Dharmendra Pradhan on the best way out of his problems: the education minister needs to take a study break and acquire an M.A. in ‘Entire’ Political Science, becoming only the second person on the planet to earn that coveted honour. With that degree he can one day return, aspiring to much higher things. And also vindicate the Peter Principle: everybody rises to the level of his incompetence.
Almost two months ago, hundreds of people pointed out to the government that the response of the public to the CJP’s call for action on the (then) NEET-related issues, signalled a deep discontent, even real distress, among young people.
Instead, the government’s response has been to unleash police brutality on protestors to quell their still growing movement. And it achieved the opposite of what it hoped to. The number of families pissed off by the regime’s response is incalculable. The Modi government had the lessons of the farmer’s protests to learn from, but I guess those weren’t included in the ‘Entire’ Political Science curriculum of that year.
Meanwhile, the protests in Delhi – increasingly drawing sympathetic, spontaneous actions across the country – have gone way beyond the NEET-affected and the demand for Pradhan’s dismissal. Most would be surprised by the strong turnout of youngsters from rural districts in the Delhi protests. Do not miss this extraordinary story on the People’s Archive of Rural India (PARI) by Shadab Farooq: 'I came to remind Parliament that we exist' (https://t.co/pMdfjgIL4m).
And the protests are just beginning. Many more will be seen over time on more issues that we can now anticipate. Maybe the entire government needs to join Pradhan in that study sabbatical.
Tear gas and batons. Suspended metro services and mobile internet. Reported unnecessary and excessive use of force against peaceful protesters. Demonstrators in India were marching towards parliament to demand the resignation of a Union education minister following alleged examination paper leaks that affected millions of students. The Delhi Police responded with violent crackdowns.
Indian authorities must ensure that all allegations of unlawful conduct against these Cockroach Party-led protests are promptly, independently, and impartially investigated.
Thousands of #Hindu protesters found safety, shelter, food & first aid when the world turned its back! 🙏 The Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Committee stood tall with open doors & pure Seva. True embodiment of Sikh values………

After yesterday’s police brutality, thousands of students found refuge in Bangla Sahib and other gurdwaras in Delhi.
It is not that other places are not economically capable to provide food or roof (no disrespect to any religion), but they lack sense of religious sovereignty which gurdwaras embraced via concept of Miri and Piri. Every gurudwara is a sovereign institution and rejects to bow down to political pressures, and that is why ultra nationalists hate gurdwaras.
1984 Operation Bluestar was not an attack on Bhindranwale, it was an attack on Akal Takht, the temporal authority which powers this ‘sense of sovereignty’.

U.S Govt release claims Modi Govt will open domestic markets for cheap U.S cotton, soybean, maize, apple and other farm produce, while Modi Govt is silent and is not addressing Indian farmers fears of competing with cheap highly subsidized US farm produce.
Why silent @PMOIndia ?
for those who can't access this behind a paywall, hear what is available here, it says enough about propaganda, the abysmal failure of context by the filmmaker and the scriptwriter.
and then do subscribe because the full argument is worht more than a hear.
satluj needs to be seen for khalra's story, but also for how shoddily
a) it concocts 25,000 dead, no 'liberal' qualms at 15,000 imaginary deaths (8,000 is too little?) for effect?
a) it effaces (jathedar-approved) sikhism's grizzly misuse for terror (a flip kashmir files).

Bad news coming in from Manipur this morning. Three civilians, mostly pastors, were ambushed and killed. Four others injured in the attack are undergoing treatment at the AR facility and are in critical condition.
But I suppose it’s just information, not news, since it’s Manipur.
I’m sorry for bringing up news from Manipur and disrupting the beautiful, peaceful news cycle of our country. Carry on, guys. ☺️

35-year-old Jaswinder Singh, a serving soldier of the Border Security Force died in the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau in Jammu. The postmortem report found that 34 blunt force injuries had been inflicted on him.
The most incriminating discoveries during the course of @jatinder_tur's investigation into Jaswinder’s death were the multiple medical reports and remand orders that extended his custody. Most of the remand orders were issued after a video call with the additional sessions judge. Each order repeated verbatim the contents of the one before it.
Jaswinder had been declared fit in nine medical reports, the last of which was issued on 18 March, less than forty-eight hours before his death, in which the medical officer at the government hospital in Jammu stated, “Accused is physically fit after clinical examination in my opinion.” The postmortem report raises concerns about the veracity of this order. It states that most of his injuries were antemortem, that is, before death, and were sustained within the previous four days.
