A similar problem applies to MTPE (machine translation post-editing) - proofreading MT output is different from translating text yourself - and from proofreading another humans' work. It gets tiring fast and is mind-numbing.

I don't know if anybody else has this experience, but I understand code better by refactoring it directly by hand, bringing it into existence. Passively reading someone else's code just doesn't engage my brain in the same way. It's harder to do properly. More omissions

Localisation is re-writing ("writing again", not "changing") in another language. If you wouldn't let a predictive algorithm write your game, don't let a predictive algorithm translate it.
