@Hirolla256@Rukwengye@ssojo81 As someone who attended at the same time, I can confirm she spent 6 years at King's College Budo. Unfortunately, in Ugandan society, there are all kinds of people and one or two of the embarrassing apples is bound to have been in Budo. Nothing to do, except to own our person
@kezio_musoke There are many jobs in the US you can't serve in as a foreign citizen. Similarly in Uganda, the restriction applies to only the roles in the fifth schedule
@T1494178470877@ChisomoWrites Break that down for me please, and tell me what govt spends on me and any other worker who is not allowed to access any public funds.
@T1494178470877@ChisomoWrites I've just checked my HMRC history. The year I earned 33K, I paid £6600 in tax & NI plus my £1K surcharge which is more than double the annual NHS spend per person of £3450. I didn't use the NHS even once that year, not even for a GP appointment. So what makes you tell these lies?
@T1494178470877@ChisomoWrites I don't know who you think is on low wages pal. There is a minimum salary to qualify for any work visa & I can assure you it is way beyond the income tax threshold. You need to stop blindly believing all the propaganda you've been fed and read the facts

@jamesonen Unfortunately, torrential rain does carry a lot of mud onto the roads as well, and when it dries up, it flakes into the lateritic dust we see. It is also unlikely that adjacent land owners would permit govt or local authorities to seal up all exposed murram surfaces next to roads
@T1494178470877@ChisomoWrites That money is paid per year IN ADDITION to normal taxes that fund the NHS and the rest of the welfare state, with no access to any of those public benefits. So what's your point?
@ddamba_isaac@jamesonen In urban areas they seal all potential sources of red soil staining, so no dust or mud makes its way onto the road. We don't do that in UG.
