Lightning Boy Shader Update!
Introducing : LBS 2.1.4
Free for anyone that already bought the shader.
- It is now compatible with Blender 3.4 (bug fixes)
- If you are using Blender 3.3.6 or under, keep using LBS 2.1.3
- Blender 3.5 is not supported at the moment
@SledgArtist@SixKingGun You should be able to use Fast mode for the boolean instead of Exact, this will be much faster and won't affect the colors.
You have to be sure that the material of the boolean (let's say black) is also assigned to the head, so it can be applied inside the mouth
@SledgArtist@SixKingGun The material "inside the mouth" should be on the boolean object and on the head as well.
So the head should 2 materials :
- Default skin
- Inside the mouth

We use an older Blender version, if you use recent ones, things might have changed

Very rare to see someone using the Lightning Boy Shader to create a look with a lot of 3D definition while keeping the sharp shading. Loving it!

Are these for a game? Are you using the LBS when animating in Blender and doing a similar toon shader in a game engine?
@AKKKK_Z Yes, sorry but this shader is only compatible up to Blender 3.4.1 (some people use 3.6 but there are small bugs in that version)
Blender 4 changed things under the hood that broke our shader.
For our own project, we use 3.4.1

@SsempaStudioz You can use textures in most LBS nodes
If you make your texture darker, you can hook that in a color node to get your shaded look.
Then you can use the same texture, but leave it bright, and hook that in the keylight node

We are still alive and working on Dinomancers! Sometimes we make great progress, sometimes life keeps us busy and gets in the way.
We decided to stop teasing the project until we'd be closer to release, because we currently can't show images of what we are working on
A WIP using @LightningBoySt1 Shader, based a picture I saw that I suspected was AI and I wanted to recreate it. Also trying to learn the compositing tab in Blender for the different elements. Might relight it because I've learnt a lot just today. #blender#b3d
