Cooking up a Blender2Unity toon shading tools and pipeline
*Likes fast cars, snowboarding and anything speed+gravity
@AffinityPlay@azsynn Some of these did give me Flashback vibes, remade and enhanced 20x.
The main commenter is onto something, this is game material, makes me want to either pick some of the characters in frame or have one myself and walk to the right or left to discover more 😅
Looks gorgeous
@TRScott0148 @LiveDigitalArt Oh man, Oblivion is the one game I have started about 4 times since the PS3 era and somehow bail it soon after quitting the prison at the beginning.
Just get too distracted traveling doing useless things around…
Bought it recently on Steam for finally a fair run. Gonna be great.
@EggyWorkshop@sparseal There’s one by the creator himself, Sparseal YT channel, look for “Uniform for IPad - 3D low poly” where he goes in depth from beginning to end on how to use it.
He creates a low poly scene of a sushi plate, I found it to be quite thorough.
Alright! On this video @Thom_Cee officially presents the Starcore Shader background, its beginnings and potential future.
Expect more videos with tutorials and feature progress while it continues development.

Cool note: the title there on the thumbnail is entirely done with @LightningBoySt1's shader and has been already translated to Unity (sneak peek in this same video, more to come on that too)
Check out this new video presenting the Starcore Shader (a NPR shader for @unitygames currently in development).
The goal is to make a shader inspired by @LightningBoySt1's shader for a game engine!

Totally agreed! I take a total of zero credits for that.
It's all the craft of @Thom_Cee, besides the obvious art skills he bends and twists their Lightning Boy's Shader to their whim.
Interesting fact, that scene is 85% NOT Unity (or Blender in the blender scene) lights
All the walls redness, character highlight, etc is through spherical gradients, ramps and clever tricks through the shader. (But very easy to achieve, as designed by the Lightning Boy Shader team)
The Starcore Shader is a NPR shader in development for @unity, based on the @LightningBoySt1 's shader for Blender, which is extremely easy to use and artist friendly!
Create beautiful scenes directly in Unity, or IMPORT a LBS scene straight from Blender.
Follow me and @thom_cee for more info.
Coming soon!

@MartinNebelong@ashlee3dee Wow, I still don’t understand what is the source of that sorcery and why it’s there relegated on console that’s now a generation behind…
Beautiful amazing images, hope you get the chance for more in more convenient work PC form.
Further details for those interested:
This starts from the scene that @Thom_Cee did here: https://t.co/tKbTLePc07
then it's imported and evaluated through with Starcore Shader tools in Unity.
It currently uses @AmplifyCreates Shader Editor but research is being done to also support Unity's Shader Graph and potentially a custom simplified one.
Progress on a game project with @SSU_Blake
I always struggled at environment work but finally found a way to make something decent with the @LightningBoySt1's toon shader
Might make a video eventually to share some tips!
What you see is in Blender, but soon will be in Unity!
First showcase of 2024!
This time we take this beautiful GHOSTS scene done by @Thom_Cee using @LightningBoySt1 Shader to Unity using the “Starcore Shader”
This is a great parity and stress test of its features.
Can’t wait to share more later on!

@Thom_Cee has done a fantastic job creating a tile-able environment for his SSU Character "Shooter" (loving the look btw).
We got the work cutout for us!: tackle the next set of features and building blocks on the Starcore Shader (SCS) for Unity!
Can't wait for parity match
