@AndrewRSeeley1 What are the laws in your state? I’m not allowed to use my machine within 3ft of buried lines. I’m sure it’d be fine but I tell homeowners I can’t do it.
@FatherKorz@GroundsCrew_CT@BlueCollarInvr There aren’t many big jobs with tight access. FWIW, my machine fits through a standard 36” gate when I remove the dual wheels.
@GroundsCrew_CT@BlueCollarInvr There’s a great “image” benefit with a bigger machine. It impresses contractors.
And homeowners are more likely to feel like they got value. Easier to justify paying a professional when they show up with a monster stump grinder.
Monday’s project. Grinding stumps to let them turn this mound into a parking spot.
No idea how long it’ll take, so I priced (and won) it as a “day rate”.
If it’s quick, I’ll spend time removing other stumps in the park.
Great day!
- tilt trailer increased EV range significantly (easily 350km / 215 miles now)
- tilt trailer was crazy easy to load & unload
- crushed a 6-stump job
- bought grease gun & grease
- ordered set of Carlton Razor teeth
- @CanadiensMTL won 🥅
You can just do things!
@AndrewRSeeley1 High-powered grinders make a great first impression on tree guys. Every time.
Did you consider attacking this stump from the bottom of the hill?
@grinditstumps@EBikeMikeVA The range is hurt more by aerodynamics than weight. A very heavy tilt trailer will fare better than a lighter enclosed trailer.
