Our reality as a nation is shaped by our values as a people. While this is largely true, I disagree with the notion that it is uniquely a Nigerian issue. Humanity, by nature, is flawed, and a dysfunctional system will inevitably produce individuals shaped by its failures—broken not by choice, but by design. To break this cycle, leaders must rise above the fray and exemplify integrity, setting a standard that inspires accountability and trust. There are still good people willing to do what is right, but they need principled leaders to pave the way and reinforce a culture of fairness and justice.
