£79 subsidy payments
£400 extra balancing costs
£134 grid expa costs

Total = £613 per household per year

And for what? Wind that works around 30% of the time and solar just 10%

@singleaspect @BGazeley @VanishedLondon 3700 cages and 105 skips of kit totalling 750 tonnes were removed during the closure programme which took many years before being handed over to demolition.

@BGazeley @singleaspect @VanishedLondon The theory being if you have air con, you don't need windows that open as they would change the balance of the airflow. The problem being that more densely packed electronics generates a lot of heat. I know even WITH air con, the temperature of equipment rooms can be unbearable.

@NigelLinge I do wonder just where BT 'sits' in the scheme of things between Openreach and Ofcom. If they can't plan a properly phased exit, between them, for lines running over System X/Y then the industry is wrongly structured.

@NigelLinge The 'CNI' of my book-writing hangs on a dangly amalgam of copper dropwire number 10 and 3, ultimately going to a DSLAM cab. BT or Openreach are more than welcome to change it out for full fibre as soon as they wish. I bought a new DECT handset to enable DV. For goodness sake!! 📞
