My quick analysis of today's huge divestment win in New York State: essentially, it both signals and hastens the decline in Big Oil's power. Such thanks to all who fought to make it happen!

Y sigue lloviendo
Today we installed a solar-powered (with battery backup!) water filtration system at the Guadelupano shelter in La Lima, Honduras. There is no running water or electricity here after the two hurricanes, so the community can now fill up 5 gallon bottles & reduce plastic waste!
UPDATE from the Instituto Biblico shelter in San Pedro Sula, Honduras where @WCKitchen is serving 550 people working with amazing local leaders like Karen! We are also now bringing clean water & medicine as diarrhea is a problem in shelters...We always have to adapt to needs!
What did the WCK chefs prepare in Honduras tonight? Pollo Guisado with rice. 😍 This delicious chicken stew was one of the meals delivered to families at about 50 different locations today. And tomorrow, we’ll keep cooking! #ChefsForHonduras

Do we really want to risk seeing more and more deadly hurricanes?

9/Rain & winds destroyed crops across Honduras. Many subsistence farmers have already been struggling to survive due to the effects of climate change. This photo was shared with me from El Paraiso, far from the epicenter of damage.
Very concerning forecast from the NHC for Iota weather system, which could become a major hurricane by the time it reaches Honduras/Nicaragua early next week. Rainfall could begin as early as Sunday & could dump 20 to 30 inches along the north coast by Wednesday.
No, it wasn't groundhog day at #SCOTUS. Obamacare was once again on chopping block. But a majority of Justices seemed disinclined to strike down the whole law, as Trump Adm wanted. https://t.co/unugAe56az
A week ago there were thousands of the poorest of the poor living here along the banks of the Chamelecon River in San Pedro Sula. EVERYTHING they had was washed away by flooding caused by Hurricane Eta. #Honduras
