@tecoughlin Following up on this, just because I wasn’t convinced, I noticed a discrepancy between our manuscript and the editorial final publication! So yes, there is a typo which is now being rectified (fingers crossed). It should state grams per litre. My apologies.
@tecoughlin Hi @tecoughlin ! Thanks so much for sharing our paper! The correct dose is 7.5 g per litte of sodium chloride, as stated in the abstract. We had participants consuming between 9 to 13 tablets of NaCl (1g each) with fluid in the first hour at rest. So not a missprint from us :)

In the meantime athletes can use THEIR OWN lived experiences of the menstrual cycle to inform their practices; they shouldn’t use data from one-off studies (whose findings have not been replicated) or low quality studies to change what they do.
