Curious what “field” did you wanna make physical things for? I have a buddy who’s interested in getting into designing and 3D printing thing such as funny vases, various thing holders etc. and he wasn’t even aware of how over saturated that market is (just check Etsy). There’s a couple of other people that I’ve heard about making some money producing aftermarket part replacements for various devices

I think a lot of folks understate how "dangerous" of a tool it is in a sense that it takes away a big part of the motivation to _become_ a software engineer. Is software really going to continue to function well decades from now when GenAI is producing most of it, continuously trained on the code it itself generates, prompted and used by people who can't necessarily gauge how good of an output they got?

I read a bunch of comments on a FB post berating a 15yr old because she wanted to work during her school breaks (at McD, cleaning, w/e) instead of “studying harder” or just “relaxing”. Most ppl were telling her she should study so she does _not_ have to work hard later.

@pascalfourtoy A really unknown (to non-Spanish speakers) Argentinian series called Los Simuladores. It takes some effort to find English subtitles, but it is one of the greatest TV shows IMO. Hilarious premise and amazing execution.

@jbrooksuk Nice! We do something similar, but we store the "limits" in JSON (like you mention at the end). It gets tricky if you want to let users try features out before upgrading. We call it "Feature Definitions" with accompanying "Feature Checkers". I prefer the word Entitlements though!
