Dear parents of Joost, he made it. And he made it big.

He will always be remembered as the person who stood up for children and for peace.

You raised him good.

CONFIRMED: joost klein is announced as the winner of eurovision 2024

[marija @treperisrce]

joost, THE europapa, is so clearly embodying the european values of freedom of speech, justice, peace and unity this whole season, and somehow is the one being targeted at eurovision, a contest which used to be just about that - celebrating unity. this is sick.

[Gabe @esc_gabe]

Next question for the EBU - when will this zero tolerance policy extend to the Israeli members of media and delegation who have spent the week intimidating and harassing artists and press?

[nora @zoominglikenora]

whatever joost has done is apparently worse than murdering thousands of people according to the ebu

[jamie @serving_kant]

not right now mommy is busy trying to stay updated on any news about joost

[Mark @TotallyNotMark]

This isn’t Avatar the Last Airbender. They’ve entirely missed the point. And I have no clue how.

This might be the most talked about series of the century on YT. There are literally thousands of video essays, blogs etc talking about and dissecting this story down to its finest details.

Yet despite this, literal professional writers, missed the single most fundamental aspect of Aang’s character journey?

By design he isn’t responsible! He’s supposed to be a kid overwhelmed by his duty that ran away. His story is literally overcoming this flaw. It’s why he froze himself in the ice to begin the story!!!!

People under 10 understand this aspect of the story. Without it, it’s simply not Avatar the Last Airbender.

Colour me perplexed.
