The storm event from last night has sparked a few new wildfires around the Lillooet area. One in particular is visible above the Seton Lake lookout off Hwy 99. BC Wildfire service is aware of the fire. If you see a wildfire report it to 1-800-663-5555.
Effective at 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, August 4, 2022, campfires, will be prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.
As of today, July 15, at noon (PDT), all open burning is prohibited in the Cariboo, Kamloops, Southeast and Coastal Fire Centres. The prohibition includes Category Two and Three fires, fireworks and sky Lanterns.
