@MenachemV is always quick to post when a ruling gives him something he can frame as a victory. The headlines go up, the commentary starts, and suddenly he presents himself as though he speaks with the authority of an entire community.

But when the outcome goes the other way, when four charges end in not guilty findings and the State of Victoria is ordered to pay more than $25,000, the silence is deafening.

Menachem, why so quiet today?

Justice cannot only be celebrated when it confirms your own political beliefs. You cannot demand that everyone respect the courts when you like the result, then suddenly lose your voice when the result challenges the story you have spent years promoting.

And there is a much bigger issue here.

In my view, the campaigns Menachem has pursued, and the way he repeatedly presents a deeply Zionist political perspective as though it represents Jewish people collectively, are dangerous. Zionism is a political ideology. Judaism is a religion, culture and identity. Jewish people are not a political monolith.

When those distinctions are deliberately blurred, ordinary Jewish people can unfairly become associated with the actions, statements and political ambitions of people who claim to speak on their behalf. That does not combat antisemitism, it can create an environment in which genuine antisemites find more ammunition for their hatred.

That should concern everyone.

Antisemitism is real. It is dangerous. It should be confronted wherever it appears. But fighting antisemitism does not require silencing criticism of Zionism, Israel, governments, political movements or individuals. And no political activist should appoint themselves the voice of every Jewish person while attacking anyone who disagrees with their worldview.

I will continue to distinguish Jewish people from Zionist politics, because Jewish Australians should never be made responsible for the political positions of Menachem Vorchheimer, or anybody else.

Today was not simply a personal victory. It was a reminder that accusations, headlines and campaigns do not determine guilt.

Courts do.

And when justice delivers an outcome you do not like, Menachem, it still deserves the same respect you demand when the outcome suits you.

Four charges. Not guilty. More than $25,000 ordered in my favour.

And yes, I intend to use those funds to continue appealing the Human Rights Commission finding against me.

Patience is a virtue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as if the protesters didn't give the NSW thugs @ChrisMinnsMP and @nswpolice an opportunity to use force against them. These thugs must have been so disappointed. After all, what was the point of inviting 40 IDF members to participate, if not to stir up unrest so that it could be brutally squashed?
I've still seen nothing from Minns, @AlboMP or @Tony_Burke about the decision to let members of the Israeli genocide force into Australia. This Labor government will go down as the least transparent in Australia's history.
