I do not dream of capitalism, I dream of a little cottage by the sea with hydrangeas & lupines along my front walk. I live so close to my friends, we can walk to each other’s homes and have supper together. I have a little orange cat that curls up on my lap. I am at peace.
My dream scenario is everyone i like sitting around a big table enjoying a bowl of soup that I made. They all say “wow, this is SO good” and they all ask for seconds
dream jobs:
• soup reviewer
• seer who prophesies your doom
• old lady who solves crimes in a little english village
• old lady who COMMITS crimes in a little english village
Do people like playing Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing because they like selling turnips, or do they simply crave to experience what it’s like living in a pretty, close-knit, walkable community.
"do you remember what it was like to fall asleep before you had to prove everything to everyone?
anything to anyone.
close your eyes
can you imagine being wholly loved after having been found out for who you are?
you are."

list of nice things for u: browsing a bookstore while it’s raining, the sound of geese flying south for the winter, a full moon, the view of your city from the top of a very tall building, a boom of thunder reverberating in your chest, knowing things will always get better again
I know we’re all tired of being on Zoom, but some important Zoom etiquette reminders:
- everyone wants to see your cat
- don’t just say “my cat is here,” hold your cat up to the camera so we can see it
- when your cat is on camera, either say “cat” or type “cat” in the chat
I am once again telling ya'll (and echoing many wise folks who've said it on here) that many youth are leaving church today not cause they are out there chasing "sin" but because they are seeking virtue, love, authenticity, & community, & they ain't finding it in churches.
