@tmknsm @SOTSPodcast The verses are lyrically broken into 8 bars. Vessel comes in 8th of a bar earlier than he should on certain sections to create tension/unease. It makes the following chorus hit way harder because it sounds ‘right’ after the verses sounded ‘wrong’. Brilliant songwriting.
