#InclusiveEducation | The National Task Team (NTT) Meeting concluded with closing remarks by DBE Director for Inclusive Education, Mr Jabulani Ngcobo, who called on officials across the sector to accelerate action towards the placement of out-of-school learners with disabilities.
Reflecting on the discussions and resolutions adopted during the meeting, Mr Ngcobo emphasised that every learner's right to basic education is immediate and unconditional, underscoring the need for decisive implementation, stronger accountability, and sustained collaboration across all levels of the education system.
He also welcomed progress on key initiatives, including respite care, learner placement mechanisms, the repurposing of special schools, funding reforms and improved planning processes, reaffirming the sector's collective commitment to advancing inclusion and ensuring that no learner is left behind.

#InclusiveEducation | The second day of the National Task Team (NTT) Meeting on the Placement of Out-of-School Learners with Disabilities from Special Care Centres continues with a presentation on the review of the National Scholar Transport Policy.
The presentation highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen access to safe, reliable and inclusive scholar transport services for learners from Grade R to Grade 12, including learners with disabilities. Key areas of focus include improving safety and security measures, enhancing monitoring and accountability, strengthening intergovernmental collaboration, and ensuring that transport support responds to the diverse needs of learners in both urban and rural communities.
The proposed policy review further seeks to advance equitable access to education by promoting inclusive transport planning, sustainable funding mechanisms, and improved support for learners who face barriers to accessing schools due to distance, safety concerns, language needs or disability.

🚨 THIS VIDEO FROM 1987 IS GOING VIRAL — AND SOMETHING ABOUT IT FEELS OFF
Watch this carefully.
In a 1987 interview with Barbara Walters, Donald Trump starts talking about the Middle East… Iran… and what the U.S. should do next.
Then says he’s thinking about running for president.
Not subtle.
Not vague.
Direct.
• Says the country is being “ripped off”
• Points straight at Iran as the problem
• Talks about going in and taking oil
• Warns a war in the Middle East is coming
This wasn’t last year.
This was 1987.
And now people are hearing it differently.
At what point does this stop being a coincidence?
