during the bear market, i can’t decide if i saw a greater % decrease in my peers leaving crypto or my portfolio pnl. such a shame it would be to grow old and say you retired from that very same industry that taught you to believe in something
after my infatuation with nfts, although that addiction may have never fully faded, i’ve started investing my time and capital into memecoins
chances are many people reading this have a pent-up negative view on memecoins. is it because they’re purely speculative? backed by nothing? or worse, you missed out on the upside because you picked the wrong winner?
this cycle has revealed that liquidity no longer flows predictably. what used to be bitcoin → alts → microcaps is now everything, everywhere, all at once
those critiques are a result of two things:
1. a skill issue
2. the consequence of a fundamentally inefficient attention economy
a thesis is most sound when there are the least number of variables, and therefore the most efficient asset class within crypto is the one priced solely on mindshare. it is the most valued commodity and purest form of exposure to any position. this thesis is why we founded @noise_xyz
