No wonder any popular person today can be compared to Madikizela, or Biko or Sobukwe. There’s no real grasp of what those figures actually fought against. People think they fought against a little bit of legislation 🕊️
@Solphendukaa@SizweDhlomo How do you even joke about such sensitive issues. They say sorry today, tomorrow is something else.. this podcast is fueled by misogyny… always trashing women,.
What we’re seeing on the streets with this Spring Day fiasco isn’t disconnected from what happens on apps like Twitter, Facebook and TikTok.
The correlation is glaringly in our faces.
WE HAVE NORMALISED DISRESPECT.
We LIKE accounts that are rude, crass and unnecessarily hostile. We cheer people on in the comment sections for humiliating strangers because “it’s funny” or they are doing it to people we don't like.
Akere re dithaka on these apps.
Then we act shocked when that same lack of civility and respect spills into real life.
It starts small and ... Eventually, you get kids who think it’s okay to splash water on random people. Not caring about damaging private property or ruining a person's day.
What we repeatedly normalise online eventually becomes easier to normalise offline.
WE HAVE ERODED CIVILITY.
Social media may not be real life. But, it does influence real life behaviour.
@FRamapitsi@Tn_groovies@joy_zelda They still don’t get it, the way we are gaslighted when we talk of representation on tv,..Mulimisi has to learn Zulu to get a job.
@thabang4real2@CornetMamabolo@Mathabatha01 SABC is still bankrupt, so that’s a myth. Skeem saam in the beginning was pedi onli but it still pull numbers.. that’s why they change it from telenovela to soapie.
@CornetMamabolo@Ricky180126 Cannot believe I had this very same thought today, I saw a show names isbhamu on DSTV and i wondered WTH is going on in the industry? No Sepedi, Shangaan and Venda shows on TV like they not even trying 🙄
@mokhazat@EezyZar@CornetMamabolo He doesn’t get it, our brothers and sistas are starving because they can’t speak Nguni language, on the public broadcaster nogal.. Dstv can do whatever it’s private but sabc is for all of us.
I’m watching TV & literally when you change channels and streaming platforms you only seeing Nguni speaking shows… AOWA! this is sad for Actors that can’t speak any of the Nguni languages.
Ntate Seputla ene o boletse! But it’s too much now .
I’m so happy to see #ThePolygamist bringing conversations about STIs and HIV to the forefront, especially where infidelity and irresponsible sexual behaviour are concerned.
These are conversations that have been buried for far too long. 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏾
@Miss_Thola We are all tired, diversity dololo.. we are always told about numbers but is not the case, it’s deliberate move to undermine other languages.
@simsilwana While the president’s apologists ignore the Phala Phala scandal and resort to personal attacks, I will continue to call for transparency and accountability.
The ANC govt is the sole reason why there are illegal foreigners in South Africa & why there is corruption at Home Affairs.
They have the power to fix it all.
ANC leaders shield corrupt African leaders & make money from those countries, especially the mines.
One thing, this documentary is subtling sharing is Nelson Mandela isn't the person the world thought he was.
I guess his Hollywood membership finally expired cause Winne Mandela was the main girl.
