@darynsimon@elly_chapple Too many secondary schools treat their pupils as animals or even machines that need to be controlled rather than developing human beings in need of understanding and kindness. It should not be like this. The system needs to change.
Year 7s aren’t too ‘needy’ - they’re 11/12 year old kids trying to adapt to new ways of being in unfamiliar school environments. The system needs to better support that transition rather than chastise children for not coping with this enormous change.
