Love this. So many students are not able nor feel comfortable to talk about their feelings and emotions at home because of this pandemic, such a sad time for the little ones...

@learnwithleah@PrinceEa Great point Leah; students need to be engaging and discussing relevant, beneficial ideas and matters, and not be built up just to pass a test that will ultimately determine their worth as a student over time.. #UABEEC301SUM20
@hemphillteaches@PrinceEa Yes! I loved how @PrinceEa made a distinction between memorizing and connection the dots! Students would grow to love learning everyday if it was made fun and implemented in a way that was unique and intentional!

In-person dialogue is immensely important for expanding on ideas, and it cannot be replicated nearly as effectively online.. The appreciation of a physical teacher and classroom is rapidly growing at this time!

Love the addition of resources to try to compensate for the lack of direct interaction with the students! I believe extra help will be so beneficial for students of any age, especially during this time! #UABEEC301SUM20
During the summer months, students can have a loss of knowledge in reading, math, science and other core subject matter. The #summerlearningchallenge provides free resources for students to #continuelearning. Visit https://t.co/4Q8IQqtdRb for more details. #AlabamaAchieves

What is School For?
Every child has potential, and school should act as a place for students to thrive and grow, not simply be evaluated.
I want my students to view school as a place where we can come together and grow skills, ideas, and life lessons.
