A mood board or aesthetic is used in the book/writing world to capture the essence or “vibes” of a book. Writers may do this at any point in the writing process.

@pernilleripp This year I’m trying “character recipe cards”: students list attributes and amounts (ex: Holden Caulfield 1 cup apathy, 1/2 cup loneliness, etc). Then the “directions” will be explanation of their choices.
