“Christ, not sociological polls, provides the norms for human living.” -Jay Adams in “A Theology of Christian Counseling”. This has been the consistent stance of biblical counseling. My mind goes back to a helpful lecture from @TDaleJohnson describing how “Jesus is Normal.”

Gunnar Henderson will represent the United States at the World Baseball Classic 🇺🇸

[Jared Carrabis @Jared_Carrabis]

Honestly, good for the Orioles. They didn’t get the player, but they were right there matching the winning bid. It was going to take a “this is a bad contract” kind of offer to pull Schwarber from the Phils.

We have to cease pathologizing darkness and evil.

Jesus defeated death so you can live.

Charlie is alive and fighting in hospital.

Please join us in praying for him.

[JohnRocker @itsJohnRocker]

All Charlie Kirk did was have a respectful open dialogue with people he disagreed with....

Absolutely sickening.

No child is born in the wrong body!

[President Donald J. Trump @POTUS]

AMERICA IS BACK. 🇺🇸

Every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America.

[Ron DeSantis @GovRonDeSantis]

Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to “get” Donald Trump.

That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City. This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction.

It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law. If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict.

In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.

“To love to preach is one thing, to love those to whom we preach quite another.” Martin Lloyd Jones

Lord, help us to love those that you love as we preach your Word today.

@johngoetsch Begging Gods grace for you and your family. Our FBC family loves you!

Christian Yelich left tonight's game with lower-back discomfort

[Dan Connolly @danconnolly2016]

Here we go. Holliday’s debut, batting ninth and playing second base. An infield of draftees: Mountcastle, Holliday, Henderson, Westburg and Rutschman. And an OF of 2 homegrown and a former Rule 5. DH O’Hearn only one of 9 to have played in MLB for another org.

That’ll cause you stop and think for a moment…

@PastorShiflett When your biggest concern is the hair and clothing of these preachers and not their heretical content, you’ve missed the boat.
