Revolutionary idea, what if you made one of these every game. Could have people selling them around the ground before the game and they could be a souvenir, people would keep hold of them for years.
Or maybe I'm just nostalgic for a different era of football.

@HLTCO Think the difference is your trying to compare apples and oranges.
We've got a large number of interesting grounds that have capacities of 10k - 40k. You're then trying to compare those to the American grounds that are all 50k+ which is just a completely different type of ground.
@Readingfanman Probably raises enough revenue to allow for ST prices to be frozen for another year, which probably would have been a better line to lead with (Letting the fans that can put more into the club allows ticket prices to stay lower for everyone else)
@lewis_goodall Would also see Labour increase their 2024 vote share by 4%, which seems almost completely unfathomable.
Would be almost impossible to argue against PM Burnham if that ended up being the case.
@Reading106 The nightmare will be if we ever get to Wembley or get a big home cup draw. This priority list will cover maybe 10k supporters. How we'd try to sell a home cup game vs Arsenal or a play off final is beyond me. We've broken a perfectly good system for absolutely no reason.
@Dubstep1988 Expanding the cup also feels like it's killing the excitement a bit too. They'll be a few upsets in the group stages, but it'll take a while to get any good match ups on paper.
@Dubstep1988 If say we made the prem in 5 years the moves now would look brilliant in the hindsight. However we look miles away from that and our overall fanbase is shrinking.
My bet next summer would be that season ticket prices go up but subscription prices are frozen to nudge people across
@Dubstep1988 In short, it's probably a decision that makes perfect sense in a boardroom, but neglects the fact that running a football club isn't a normal business. Alienating a large proportion of the vocal fanbase won't do you any favours longer term.
@Dubstep1988 The club obviously makes the vast majority of its revenue from ~7500 fans out of a total fanbase of 30k. This move probably extracts more revenue out of 5k and has potential to scale up more in the future, however is really winding up 25k of your fanbase that also have a voice.
@HLTCO Makes the PL suddenly much more interesting. You look at next season's title race and it's as competitive and open as I can ever remember it being.
@farrar_90@scottygb Victims of rape have the legal right to remain anonymous if they choose.
Whistleblowers remaining anonymous is also pretty common to avoid any potential backlash against the whistleblower.
Probably the last "big game" we've had at the Madjeski, and there's a whole generation of fans that won't remember that season now.
When the owners talk about bringing back the good times, this is it, and the football wasn't pretty that season either, but it was fun.

@Dubstep1988 Abrefa can also play down the left, or on the wing if we're in a real pinch and generally suits the WB profile Richardson seems to prefer.
At a minimum he's a handy body to have on the bench at this level.
@TheTilehurstEnd Kanu and Dorsett seem the most likely to get new deals, Rino too depending on who else is on the market.
Need a RB, versatile FB, ball playing CB, attacking CM and a consistent ST through the door early doors, and then a few more bodies to bulk the squad.
@SimFromBucks I've seen 3 wins from 15 games this season which I believe is my worst return since going. Of those, 1 (Stockport H) was exciting, the other 2 just run of the mill.
Rough season following the team personally, not fun at all when you look back at it.
@TheTilehurstEnd Yiadom at the back looked like he was taking it all in for the last time.
Shame to see him bow out like this given the number of years he's been here for, deserved one last time to play on the pitch.
@TheTilehurstEnd If you want success next season, you're going to have to spend over the summer.
Either you splash the cash back Richardson and bring the players that suit his style.
Or you go out, find a manager who can work with the players we've got.
Option 2 is the far less risky one.
@Dubstep1988 He's trying to force his style onto a bunch of players that don't suit it.
I think the move from 4231 to whatever shape we try to play now is his downfall, just got a bunch of players out of position and it clearly just dosent work and hasn't for weeks.
Miserable pathetic fallacy with how the weather has turned here
This lap of appreciation after the game could easily end up in the hall of fame of the worse things we've done over the last decade.
