Marine Steven Birdsall, aged 20 from Warrington, of 40 Commando Royal Marines, died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, from a gunshot wound received the previous day whilst on patrol in Sangin, Helmand Province

LCpl Tasker deployed to Afghanistan with 1st MWD Regt having trained as an Explosives Search dog handler. On 1 Mar 2011 he was on patrol with his dog Theo when they came under fire. LCpl Tasker was hit & died. On returning to camp Theo suffered a seizure & died.
