Tweetdeck is now premium-only which makes using twitter for support largely non-viable for me. If you have questions about Audacity, please ask on https://t.co/1POEYVTdtz or https://t.co/hiE0eVmxQy.
@KJBurbankVA If you have a focusrite solo, for some reason if you choose to record mono, it decides to mix both of your inputs if your Host is set to MME or DirectSound. But on WASAPI it works just fine.
I have no idea why - seems to be driver dependent?
@CottontailVA Hello from the Audacity Team! Would you like to show me how exactly you're using Audacity and give some feedback? Or perhaps test the next big version, Audacity 4?
@S_hoji_ Hello from an Audacity Team member! I'd like to say that you're very welcome to print your own Audacity Tshirts and mugs and whatever else! CC @yasumino_boy
@voices I'll have to disagree with you on both counts here: Audacity isn't really a DAW yet (with MIDI editing notably missing), but it *also* isn't stuck in "antiquated" destructive editing anymore as it does both non-destructive editing and effects. The video is very out of date.
@RavensDreamYT There's several reasons for it:
* Previously, exporting functionality was deeply entangled with the export window. We need to separate it for Audacity 4
* The modern file browser doesn't support UI modifications
* More functionality was added to it(5.1, multiple files)
@FunnyGuyTimmy@AlisterCado There are some more bugs, yes, which is due to us cleaning up a 20 year old code base, adding major features and porting the entire thing to a modern framework - all at the same time.
@FunnyGuyTimmy@AlisterCado "stopped being as open source" is absolute BS. Audacity is GPL'd and remains this way, and we're actually taking proprietary stuff from the company and open sourcing it. The time stretcher that's core to this release originated in Staffpad, for example.
